Narrow-Minded

When someone calls you "narrow-minded", it's rarely a compliment. In our culture, being labeled as narrow-minded suggests you're intolerant, judgmental, or closed to new ideas. But what if Jesus Himself calls us to be narrow-minded - at least in one crucial area of life? In Matthew 7:13-29, which is the conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus presents us with a series of stark contrasts: two gates, two prophets, two disciples, two foundations. And at the heart of it all is an invitation to embrace the kind of narrow-mindedness that leads to life. So, on Family Ministries Sunday, come and join us as we learn how to be the right kind of narrow-minded.
